Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of Gitmayo. After signing in, you must explicitly accept these Terms before using the workspace or investor portfolio. We record the accepted version and time with your account. If you do not agree, sign out and do not use the Service.

Eligibility

You must be at least 16 and able to form a binding contract. If you act for an organisation, you confirm that you are authorised to accept these Terms for it.

The Service

Gitmayo connects to GitHub and produces plain-English summaries from activity metadata for repositories you select. This metadata can include bounded pull-request and issue descriptions, release notes, labels, milestones, assignees, linked issues, and review timestamps. To see which parts of a product changed, Gitmayo reads each commit's changed-file list and line counts; GitHub returns the change text in that response, which Gitmayo discards without storing it or sending it to AI. Gitmayo does not store source code, file contents, diffs, patches or file paths, and does not read workflow logs, generated files, or commit bodies.

Your account and repository access

You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping credentials secure. By connecting an account and selecting repositories, you authorise the access needed to generate summaries and confirm that you have permission to use that data, including data from private or organisation-owned repositories.

Acceptable use

• Do not break the law or another service’s applicable terms.
• Do not disrupt, overload, scrape, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorised access to the Service.
• Do not access or process data you are not permitted to use.
• Do not use the Service to send spam, malware, unlawful content, or harassment.

AI-generated summaries

Summaries are generated by AI and may contain errors, omissions, or outdated conclusions. Review them before relying on or sharing them, especially for investor, board, employment, legal, financial, or other important decisions.

Review and delivery

Review before sending is the default: you approve the exact report version, recipients, and attachment before Gitmayo sends anything on your behalf. Generating a report is never authorisation to send it.

Scheduled automatic sending is a separate opt-in in Settings. It applies only to a validated report bound to the exact version, recipients, and consent you approved, and it does not change who may receive a report. Editing the report, its owner-provided context, or your recipient settings withdraws that authorisation until you approve the new version. You remain responsible for what you approve and for having permission to share it with each recipient.

Where a delivery outcome is ambiguous, we hold it for reconciliation rather than retrying, so an uncertain send is not turned into a duplicate message.

Your content and our intellectual property

You keep your rights in the data and context you provide. You grant Gitmayo a limited licence to process that content only to provide the Service. Gitmayo retains its rights in the software, website, and brand. Generated summaries may contain common wording also produced for others.

Plans and billing

Current access is free and does not require card details. Displayed Starter and Pro prices describe plans for paid launch; subscriptions and top-ups are not available to purchase. If paid plans launch, we will show the price, renewal, cancellation, and refund terms before you buy.

Copyright concerns

If you believe content processed or shared through Gitmayo infringes your copyright, contact support@gitmayo.com. Identify the work, the affected report or page, your contact details, and why you believe the use is unauthorised. Please do not email source code, credentials, or private repository contents. We will review reports, may restrict disputed content or access while investigating, and may suspend or close accounts for repeated infringement. We may contact the relevant parties for further information and to consider a response or correction.

Third-party services

The Service relies on GitHub and on providers of hosting, authentication, AI processing, email delivery, and security. GitHub’s terms apply when you connect it. Integrations may change or become unavailable; we will take reasonable care in choosing and managing providers.

Availability

We provide the Service with reasonable care and skill but do not promise uninterrupted or error-free availability or complete and accurate summaries. Nothing in these Terms affects statutory rights that cannot be excluded.

Liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or fraudulent misrepresentation. We are not responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable when you accepted these Terms, or for business losses suffered by a consumer. If you use Gitmayo for business purposes, our total liability relating to the Service is limited to the greater of fees paid in the twelve months before the claim or £50, to the extent the law permits.

Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close access for a serious or repeated breach, a security risk, a legal requirement, or discontinuation of the Service. Where practicable, we will explain the reason and give reasonable notice.

Changes

We may update these Terms for changes to the Service, law, or security. We will give reasonable advance notice of material changes. If you do not agree, you may stop using the Service and delete your account before they take effect.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, whose courts have jurisdiction. Consumers living elsewhere retain mandatory local rights and any right to bring a claim in their local courts.
